The current Nokia Internet tablet N800 has integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for accessing Internet of the go. It also has a great browser which is used to access the Internet. However, it does not have a 3G support. Therefore, Nokia promised that next model of Nokia Tablet will be coming with 3G support.
Current model also has an in-built camera with great video capabilities and has better performance as compared to any Nokia handset. Its equipped with sleek and slim design with great looking screen and high performance processor. Nokia has also added VoIP support and instant messaging applications. There are dual expansion slots and RSS news reader which come unique to Nokia’s Tablet.
However, the Nokia’s Tablet N800’s video playback performance is not up to the mark and there is no PC synchronization. Realizing this, Nokia has announced that the next model will support 720p videos and shader based games. However, Nokia should remember that video features don’t count much to many people and so they should not charge heavily for this feature.
N800 is still a great gadget and all it needs is 3G support and PC synch. The spec is also good and there is not much improvement needed in specs. N800 has Internet Tablet 2007 OS and 128 MB RAM. Nokia also announced that the next model will be powered by TI OMAP 3 processor for better performance.
They clarified that OMAP 3 will be capable of playing 720p videos and games with shaders. It will also be capable of handling 12 mega pixel camera. Therefore, we can expect the new improved N800 soon. Nokia said that the new model will be working on Linux and would be more stable as compared to any current handset. So, lets cross our fingers and wait for new and powerful Nokia N800 3G.
