This is a review between two mini-note industry performers. The HP 2133 Mini-Note PC and the MSI Wind U100. Let us examine their specifications.

Let’s start off with the processor. There is no doubt that the winner for this round is the MSI Wind U100. The MSI Wind U100 has an Intel Atom processor at 1.6 Gigahertz while the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC has a VIA processor which makes the HP mini-note lag behind in terms of performance. I personally am waiting for HP to realize the err of their ways and start to manufacture the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC with an Intel Atom Processor.

In terms of memory, the MSI Wind U100 wins again, with a 160 gigabyte hard drive while the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC lags at a 120 gigabyte hard drive size. This means that the MSI Wind U100 has more storage space compared to the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC.

For the size, I believe that the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC wins the round because it is a true mini-note with its 9 inch screen while the MSI Wind U100 is at 10 inches. The disparity may be hair thin but this makes the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC more portable and more miniature.

Another winning point of the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC is that it uses a very comfortable to use keyboard tray that is said to be 92% of the regular keyboard size used by standard size laptops. Although the MSI Wind U100 is not too hard to use, but the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC is more comfortable for those with beefier hands.
