Photoskins PS100 is a new invention hailed from Emtrace Technologies. The gadget is showcased in the CES 2008 exhibit in Las Vegas, Nevada and is to be released in the market this year. Photoskins is a portable display you can connect to your computer through USB cable connection. What it does is download any information and content from the computer to be viewed on the gadget’s small screen anytime, anywhere.

The device is just a little bit larger than your usual credit card and is at 4.7mm thick. You can simply slip it inside your pocket when you are away from your computer and then take it out once you are all set to view the web contents you have downloaded whatever the file type may be.

Photoskins simply act as your widget player. With this portable gadget, you can view your favorite multimedia thingamajigs right in the palm of your hands, exactly how it is if you are viewing it from your computer. Aside from that, you can also use the cradle to have your web contents displayed on top of your desk, in the living room or anywhere necessary. You can use it like a digital photo easel. All you have to do is download any photograph of your choice from your computer through the built in USB port, and play the photo on the screen. With Photoskins, you can change your living room photos as frequent as you want.

These are just a few of the many ways you can use Photoskins. You can only ask for it to be Wi-Fi enabled but probably the manufacturers are already thinking about the same.
