iPod Convenience
Listening to music has become a breeze with the iPod. Never before could we carry a thousand tunes in our back pocket using a tiny gadget. What would our great grandparents say about the iPod? Funny enough, I picture it like the advent of the common matchstick — amazement and wonder at how such a tiny piece of wood could start a fire.
With the iPod, we now have a compact instrument to play our favorite songs and videos. The boom box of the eighties was the first mobile audio device that became a huge hit, especially among the youth. This has since evolved into smaller digital devices that can slip into the jean pocket of our young children. It works like a computer, and is able to store thousands of data that you can download from your computer. The memory capacity of even the smallest iPod surpasses any CD or cassette.
Not only can you carry the iPod in your pocket, you can also hook it up to your computer, car, and TV. Everything you want to listen to can be stored in it. You can share your music with others in the group, or you can choose to go solo and use your earphones.
It has negated the need for music CDs, which can save you a lot of money. With the many online music stores in the cyber world, you can buy your favorite song at a minimal cost. Of course, if you are not careful, you can end up with your credit card number splashed for all to see and abuse. This is something you cannot be too careful about. Many people have been victimized by posting their personal banking information on the web when making purchases, but you do not have to be another victim. There are simple precautions to take and legitimate online stores to buy from. The important thing is to choose wisely here.
Aside from music, your iPod can hold games, videos, and all sorts of data. This differs according to the model you have. The newer the model, the more advanced the features and storage space.
Owning an iPod can help you organize your day. It can set your mood by the music you choose to play. You can share videos and set your calendar as you move about. It is handy, easy to use, and popular. There is not much actually to complain about, which definitely makes it the best buy amongst all handheld audio players.

I was still using a cassette player as late as 2002.
I got an Ipod Touch for Christmas 2007, and man o man I sure love it!
